Deck the Halls… or Piano?

Things have been relatively busy around here for the last week or so – mostly because I’ve willingly put myself in a position to get hooked on The Gilmore Girls (working through season 2 now!)

On top of that I’ve agreed to play piano christmas tunes as background for my mother’s Coldwell Banker Devonshire christmas party this afternoon. Whipping up 3 hours of background music isn’t as easy as it sounds – and unfortunately I did not get the music until last Saturday. Thank goodness for my superb sight-reading skills.

I will check back in here after the gig and let you all know how it goes!

I have thus far managed to avoid the seemingly inevitable gravitational pull that is the Gilmore Girls. I did start watching season 1 of Lost last night, though, so I may be hooked very soon.

Thank goodness for my superb sight-reading skills.

If only you had superb improvisational skills, the sight-reading wouldn’t be quite so necessary… ;-)

Hope your three hours of playing doesn’t wear you out! That’s a long time. 2 hours one time just about drove me nuts.

Hey now! I did an improv stint in college and am still recovering from being forced to slouch at the piano. =)
