This is sort of an In my Mailbox/Library Loot type of post. I pick up so many books each week though it’s going to be difficult to round them all up and remember..but I’m going to give it a try!
In my Mailbox (Hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren):
- Love Walked In by Marisa de los Santos
- Every Last One by Anna Quindlen (ARC)
- Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace One School at a Time by Greg Mortenson & David Oliver Relin
- Stealing Lumby by Gail Fraser
- Lumby’s Bounty by Gail Fraser
- The Promise of Lumby by Gail Fraser
Purchased this Week:
- Nothing! My mailbox loot was enough to satisfy me. =)
Library Loot:
- Fallen by Lauren Kate
- The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera (Audiobook)
- White Teeth by Zadie Smith
- I am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced by Nujood Ali with Delphine Minoui
- And Another Thing .. by Eoin Coifer

I’ve heard Three Cups of Tea is awesome!! Enjoy!
Three Cups of Tea is a good story but he’s a terrible writer. hehe. Also, this is not a hugely popular opinion, but I didn’t like White Teeth nearly as much as On Beauty.
@Kari I haven’t heard anything about his writing (or much about the book) .. that makes me sad, because the story looks so good. We’ll have to see if I can get through it. I really did like On Beauty and figured I’d give White Teeth at least a try!
Awesome books! Good luck with Fallen, I had such a hard time getting into it!
Here’s what I got this week: http://bookielaura.blogspot.com/2010/03/in-my-mailbox-3-21-10-update.html
I hope you have a great week!

@Laura Oh man! I’ve heard good and bad things about it..but I don’t think it could possibly be as bad as Hush, Hush was.. (can it?)
I had to read Three Cups of Tea for a history course I took last fall, and I really enjoyed it (although, he could have used a ghost writer haha). It took me a long time to get into Fallen, too. Once the action started I enjoyed it, though. Happy reading!
@Lizzy I am cringing already! That’s two comments talking about how bad his writing is. Ack!
Looks like you got some great books! My mailbox is at The Crowded Leaf.
I’ve always wanted to read The Unbearable Lightness of Being after seeing the movie many, many years ago. Can’t wait to see what you think of it.
Fallen sounds really good. It’s on my TBR list.
Ooooh, I’m looking forward to your review of Three Cups of Tea!! You had a really good haul!
I met Greg Mortenson a few years ago at an NCTE convention. I have all versions of the books: Adult, YA, and children. He was an interesting speaker and the story is great! Hope you enjoy.
I hope that you enjoy your books. Happy Reading! Here’s mymine
