Welcome Readers and Cheerleaders! You are over half-way, so exciting! I hope your eyes are still as bright and your minds are filling with amazing stories and thoughts!
This is a fairly easy challenge – no pictures or anything that will require a bit of work from you. All I’m wanting from you is to know the answers to a two-part question! I will choose a winner at random and the winner will receive a book from their “wishlist” (will be purchased through Amazon so you will need to start a wishlist there with at least that book). This challenge will last 1 HOUR.
Here is your question: Think of your favorite book – has it been made into a movie? If not (and maybe you’ll need to go to your 2nd favorite book and so on), tell me if you’d like to see it made into a movie and pick one character from the book and give me information on which actor you’d love to see cast in the part. Make your post as fun as possible, tell me why you think the movie would be amazing and why the actor/actress you chose would be perfect in the part!
Once you’ve created your post leave the link to it in Mr Linky here!
I’ll play along.. because I’m constantly wishing some of my favorite books were movies.
My Movie Wish:
The Fiddler’s Gun by A.S. Peterson. This book was fantastic! One of my favorite characters in the book was Bart – the fiddle-playing ex-pirate. He was an incredible character and I kept trying to match him up with a “famous” face.

After much deliberation I thought.. hm, who was that guy in The Cider House Rules? That’s right.. Michael Caine. This is exactly how I pictured Bart. And the more I think on it, the more I like it.
So what about you? Leave your link here!

I love a book called The Monk Upstairs. It’s a little romance about a man who decides not to become a priest and comes to live with a single mother and her child. I see Kevin Kline as the priest….Of course, I see Kevin Kline as the main character in every movie and he could be!
Oh, I like your pick! I really enjoyed The Fiddler’s Gun!
Wait, was there a post? All I saw was Michael Caine’s handsome visage, and everything else just faded away . . .
Great topic!! Okay – well I read The Help this year and really enjoyed it….I reckon it would make a great movie….now ….who to cast???? Aibileen – maybe Queen Latifah….Skeeter….what about Scarlett Johansson?
My entry is here.

I wish Eyes Like Stars would be turned into a movie, or a cartoon. I can imagine all the characters as anime figures.
Great mini-challenge!!
Great mini-challenge! Mine is in the linky.
Lydia you are right – he is Bart! This is so fun! A great challenge – way to go
Fabulous mini-challenge! And just perfect for you! If I get back from my jaunt out in time to put this one together I will definitely give it a go! Love it!
Great mini challenge!!!
one of my favorite books of all time is ‘redeeming love’ by francine rivers. it tells the story of a woman who was forced into prostitution in the old west. a godly man sees her one day and god tells him to marry her. it is sort of a retelling of the book of Hosea, where god tells Hosea to marry an unfaithful woman to tell a story to the israelites. in this book, the woman goes through a lot, bitter as she is from her life, and finally succumbs to love and freedom. its such a great lovestory on so many levels. thinking about it, i could see maybe kiera knightly playing the part pretty well, or kate winslet–both could convey the tough-as-nails, wounded woman, as well as the unfolding of her heart.
fun challenge – too many books to choose from
Great mini-challenge1 Plese forgive me, I’m kind of tired and realized that linky 41 is not correct, it’s 42 that will take you to my post. Thank you for your understanding…
Hands down, The Hunger Games! I would so be at the midnight showing. Probably in costume.

Good challenge!
I thought for sure many would choose Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I would choose Gerard Butler for Jamie, but have no clue about Claire.
Thanks. This was fun. There’s a whole series of books with the same characters, so I chose to cast a character from the series because there easily could be movies from any of them. All with Alex O’Loughlin….
Oh my goodness! Michael Caine would be PERFECT for Bart! I’ve only just started The Fiddler’s Gun, but I can so see Michael Caine being Bart.
