Sheila from One Person’s Journey through a World of Books inspired this idea – she is trying to get to reading the beautiful bounty of books she picked up at a library sale.. me, I’d like to get through my massive TBR list!
So here’s my giveaway idea: this is my TBR list on GoodReads. It’s huge, it’s scary and frankly.. I’m intimidated by it. However, I want to read some of these books! I do an okay job knocking a few out a month but I thought this time I’d give you folks the opportunity to help me knock them out.
So what do you get out of this? Look through it, see it there is a book that interests you (hey, I told you this would be a little bit of work for you!). Suggest it to me via the form on this page. If your book gets chosen by the random.org generator then I will not only read the book but I will provide you a copy to read along with me!
This giveaway will end on May 15, 2010 so get your suggestions in!
(Bonus! If you are a follower you may suggest TWO titles and I will read both books and you can choose between the two which one you would like.)

This is an awesome idea! One book I see on your TBR pile (that I didn’t select since I’ve already read it) that you should definitely put on the top of your pile is The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright. I saw it at Target and it caught my eye. It’s a beautiful love story of unconditional love.

Here’s the problem. The ones I DEFINITELY THINK YOU SHOULD READ (ALL CAPS EXCLAMATION MARKS) are ones I have already read. So I don’t know that I want to enter. I just want to boss you around and tell you what to do. Like, GO READ WHEN YOU REACH ME RIGHT NOW. RIGHT NOW, I SAY!

I love your TBR list. Do not be intimidated or embarrassed by it, because all it proves is there are so many books out there waiting (needing?) to be read and definitely NOT. ENOUGH. TIME. I am swimming under my own TBR list but feel a sense of excitement, adventure, and of course, vast possibilities, when I cruise it!

I’m currently reading When You Reach Me and The Body Finder, so those are not on my list although I think they are great books to start with. I’ve heard such incredible things about Reach and…so far so good!

You have a great TBR list. There are quite a few books on there that I’ve enjoyed. One that I hope you’ll love is The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley. Granted I haven’t read it since I was a teenager but it really moved me. The main character Aeryn is quite like Eowyn and I loved the girl power in the book. I need to reread it sometime!

WOW.. I thought I had a lot of books after going to the Friends of the Library Old Book Sale Saturday. I bought 77 books (20 are HB) for less than $45.00 (my grandaughter picked out 5 which brought the total to 45.00). That’s less than 58 cent per book. YAY, some have not been read and all were in good condition. I have over 250 books in my TBR stack. Working to much in my flower beds and yard but when it gets hotter I will be reading more. lol.. This southern humidity is horrible..

Great idea. My TBR list looks similar in size. One of the books I suggested was Wintergirls. Seems everywhere I look that book is getting great reviews. Hope it lives up to that
