Alyce at At Home with Books hosts this meme – and it’s one of my favorites. A few years ago when I was looking into finding a good book club I noticed that our library had a suggested reading schedule for theirs. Unfortunately it met on a night I wasn’t able to make it – but one title caught my eye.
The Woman in White is a fantastically written, beautiful, haunting, twisting-and-turning Victorian novel. It’s a “classic”, but not one I hear spoken of often and it baffles me as to why not. This book is on my To-Read list again and I plan to revisit it again very soon (and this time actually write a good review on it) but I do remember how much intrigue there was and how fantastic the villains were.
