I’ve never heard of this book but it sounds really interesting. Kind of reminds me of Ready Player One but it sounds a little more intense.

Yeah, this is not typical YA – there’s no romance and the strange occurrences are plausible.

I am not a gamer but I loved the descriptions of the game and was so drawn in. I can definitely understand why people would spend so much time playing and how addictive it can be.

We don’t have a video game system in the house and my son is only allowed on the computer for short amounts of time. I’m really thinking this sounds like something I would like, despite the fact that it’s YA.

I know the feeling! I felt the itch quite a few times and remembered the thrill of those levels up. Pretty scary stuff to read now that I’m removed from it all.

Yes! I loved this book – and it’s one I will definitely read more than once.

She absolutely captured that addiction that comes with these types of games. It very nearly made me start up my old game again!

I’m glad you enjoyed Erebos. I definitely agree that it could be a helpful book for youth struggling with gaming addictions and for their parents. I was very taken in with the mysteries of the story, too, and basically couldn’t put this one down. Thanks for the shout-out!
