I agree totally. This book was a surprise to me in that I wasn't sure what to expect. Rochester is not likable at all and my sympathies for Bertha became more developed. Afterwards I read Jane Eyre again and found that I still enjoyed the read, but felt differently about the characters. However not in a bad way. I always recommend this one at the bookstore.

I really enjoyed this interpretation too. I read it after my second read of JE and loved seeing a different side of Rochester (who I was never a big fan of anyway) and hearing "Bertha"'s voice.
